Switzerland vs England: When is the Nations League third-place playoff and how to watch

England suffered a second semi-final defeat in the space of 12 months after falling to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League semi-final.

The Three Lions took the lead through Marcus Rashford's penalty but Matthijs de Ligt's second-half header put the game into extra time, where Gareth Southgate's side sunk after defensive mistakes.

Errors from John Stones and Ross Barkley saw Kyle Walker saw an own goal and Quincy Promes put the game beyond any doubt, denying England the opportunity to become the first side to win the UEFA Nations League.

Southgate's side are not done in Northern Portugal though as England now face Switzerland, who lost 3-1 to Portugal on Wednesday night, in the third-place playoff.

England return to the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques stadium in Guimarães, Portugal for the match.

When is the game?

Gareth Southgate's side tackle Switzerland on Sunday June 9th, with the match scheduled to beign at 14:00 GMT.

How can I watch?

Sky Sports' coverage of the UEFA Nations League continues and the coverage begins on the Main Event channel at 13:30 GMT. The same channel will also show the final where Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal tackle Holland.
