Independent Swiss watchmaker H. Moser & Cie has opened its first point of sale in Pendulum's multi-brand boutique at CentralWorld.
The company dates back to 1828, when Heinrich Moser founded his eponymous trading company in St Petersburg, Russia, where he was the only person able to repair a mechanical piece owned by Tsar Nicholas I. Born into a watchmaking family, Moser was originally from Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The entrepreneur set up a factory in Le Locle before returning to his hometown in 1848, where he became an industrial pioneer.
H. Moser & Cie was revived in 2005, with new facilities built in Schaffhausen for the development and production of handcrafted movements and watches.
Here are four iconic models from the Swiss brand, also known as the "little pearl of Schaffhausen".

Endeavour Flying Hours
Housed in a white gold 42mm case, the limited edition of 60 pieces indicates the time through a disc-based display, whose mechanism is inspired by planetary systems. A central sapphire disc for the minutes and three open-worked discs for the hours are laid out on a blue fumé dial for an understated look.

Endeavour Perpetual Calendar
The white gold model simply shows the time, date, month and power reserve, but its ingenuity earned it the Best Complicated Watch title at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix in 2006. A short arrow-shaped hand uses the hour indices to indicate the month. The big date display is also a flash calendar, generating the power to change the date instantaneously at midnight. The time can be adjusted forwards or backwards at any moment without any risk to the movement.

Pioneer Centre Seconds
The elegant steel sports watch is water-resistant up to 120m and easy to read in the dark, thanks to Superluminova elements on the hands and dial. Providing a minimum power reserve of three days, the movement features an automatic bidirectional paw winding system that allows quick winding.

Swiss Alp Watch
While looking like a smartwatch, it does not allow you to make calls, tweet or consult your diary. It's purely as an instrument for measuring time with a modern design and mechanical heart. Its rectangular case with soft, rounded corners is topped by a crystal with curved edges, while the lustrous dial is in midnight-blue fumé.
