John Swinney will lay out a plan for the first 100 days of a new SNP administration on Monday, the party has said.
In a speech in Glasgow, the First Minister is expected to pitch his party as the only one with a “serious programme for government”.
The SNP leader has already said he would seek energy powers from Westminster on the first day if he is sworn in again to the top job, as well as create a £10 million fund for businesses impacted by ferry disruption.
The party has also pledged to legislate for caps on food prices this year, meaning work would likely have to begin early in a new SNP administration.
Speaking on Monday, the First Minister is expected to say: “During this campaign, the SNP is the only party setting out a serious programme for government
“Every other party has spent the campaign talking about themselves, about each other and talking about the SNP.
“But they never talk about you – the people of Scotland.
“They are asking you to vote for an opposition to stop things happening. I am asking you to vote for a SNP government to get things done.
“The SNP want to lower your bills, other parties want to stop us.
“The SNP want to open GP walk-in clinics across Scotland. Other parties want to stop us.
“The SNP want you to decide on your future. The other parties want to stop us.
“The best way to ensure we can deliver for you is by electing a majority SNP Government.”
He will add: “A better Scotland is possible. But we have to make it happen. It is in your hands.”
