Swing-chair outside restaurant on Dawson Street spotted poking fun at Maria Bailey with sign reading 'no politicians'

A swing-chair outside a Dublin restaurant was spotted with a witty sign reading 'strictly no politicians'.

It comes after the controversial compensation case where Fine Gael TD Maria Bailey was slammed for taking legal action against a hotel for a swing-chair fall.

The Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown TD dropped her case in May after it emerged that she ran a 10km race just three weeks after the incident.

A hawk-eyed Reddit user spotted the chair on Dawson Street in the city centre.

Sprout and Co. Kitchen's swinging chair was spotted by Reddit user u/SaltyZooKeeper who posted the image online.

One user replied to the image saying: "Can someone Photoshop (Jacob) Reece-Mogg onto it?"

Maria Bailey's case sparked outrage from the public earlier this year, however, some people used the story as inspiration for funny parade floats and, more recently, as inspiration for Halloween costumes.

In August a group of people from Courtmacsherry, Co Cork, dressed up as the Fine Gael TD as well as RTE's Sean O'Rourke.

And in Dublin, a Halloween reveller went viral after dressing up as Bailey - wearing a blonde wig and a blue dress while sitting on a makeshift swing-chair.
