A Swindon-based financial advice and investment network has achieved a record-breaking quarter for recruitment following its rebrand.
The Openwork Partnership, which was previously known as Openwork, appointed 36 new representatives and 257 advisers to its network in the first three months of 2021, breaking a previous 2009 record.
The organisation has more than 4,300 financial advisers based in nearly 700 member firms across the UK.
The Openwork Partnership said it had continued to recruit during the pandemic and had another 46 representatives and 337 advisers in the application pipeline.
New business to join the network include estate agents Andrews Property Group, which The Openwork Partnership said took the total of mortgage and protection advisers to more than 2,500.
Claire Limon, wealth director at The Openwork Partnership, said: “The rebrand earlier this year signalled our plans to target becoming the UK’s leading advice network ranked on better outcomes for more clients, by reputation and by growth across the business.
“Record recruitment across the network in the first three months of the year, with particular success in the mortgage and protection sector, is an excellent first step and we have a strong pipeline in place for future recruitment.”
The Openwork Partnership said it was seeing strong buyer demand in the mortgage market with the extended Stamp Duty holiday and the opening up of the 95% loan-to-value market providing a "buoyant outlook".
The organisation said it followed a strong 2020, which saw total completions increase by 3% to £19bn despite lockdown shutting the housing market for two months.
