Swimsuit model who promised mum she'd wear one piece finds cheeky way around rule

Former Miss USA contestant, Haley Kalil, recently took part in a swim wear photo shoot for Sports Illustrated.

However, before stepping in front of the camera, she claims her mum laid down a few ground rules.

According to a post on Instagram, Haley's mum made her promise she'd wear a one piece swimming costume for the photos.

The 27-year-old agreed and picked out a white swimsuit for the pictures.

However, the model found a cheeky way to bend her mum's rule in order to make the photo shoot a little raunchier.

She shared a behind-the-scenes video on social media from the day, showing off her costume.

In the clip, she gestures to the front of her swimsuit, which looks innocent enough, and says: "The rules were a one piece, so..."

But then she turns around and walks away and it's fair to say her mum probably won't be so thrilled about the back of the outfit.

The other side of the swimming costume is nothing more than a thin string, criss-crossed down her back, with a tiny G-string bottom.

Haley captioned the post: "When your mum tells you that she wants you to only shoot in one pieces ... MOM IT’S TECHNICALLY A ONE PIECE."

Her followers went wild for the video and loved the joke.

One person replied: "Lmfaooooo. If business in the front, party in the back was a swimsuit."

Another said: "That looks like a one piece to me!"

Someone else proclaimed: "Wow, the back half of the bathing suit is missing??!!?"

"That’s one way to get around the rule; hilarious," added a different user.

Others compared the look to 'dental floss', a 'face mask' and thought she looked 'naked'.

The model responded to some of the comments, joking that she is "basically a walking mullet" and that the costume was "surprisingly super comfortable".

She also told fans that the swimsuit is by the brand LOLA & LAMAR for anyone who might be keen to get their own.

As well as this, Haley shared a look at one of her photos from the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition on Instagram.

She confessed she "broke down crying" when she found out they wanted her to be in the pages.

"The world sees these beautiful images.... but what they may not see is the moments between these shots that have changed my life and countless others," she wrote.

"I have never felt more at ease and confident in the body I live in. There’s an undeniably positive energy on the SI Swimsuit set."
