Swiftqueue Covid vaccine appointment bookings open for all over-45s in Nottinghamshire

Over-45s in Nottinghamshire are now able to book their Covid-19 vaccine locally, a day after bookings going live on the national NHS site.

The local Covid-19 vaccination booking system opened to people aged 45 and over on Wednesday afternoon (April 14).

Those eligible can book a vaccination appointment by visiting the booking link or call the local booking line on 0115 883 4640 between 8am – 6pm during weekdays and 9am – 1pm on weekends.

The Nottingham and Nottinghamshire NHS CCG added: "We are working closely with the local councils during the pandemic. The county council is supporting us with managing requests for information and assistance related to the vaccine rollout so if you have any questions that are not answered by the information here please contact enquiries@nottscc.gov.uk or call 0300 500 80 80."

It comes after people over the age of 45 were able to book their Covid-19 jab at a national NHS site, as confirmed on Tuesday April 13.

The NHS booking website updated to say that people aged 45 and over can now book for their vaccine.

Until now the NHS had been focusing on offering vaccines to those at highest risk including people over the age of 50 and people deemed to be “clinically vulnerable”.

Frontline NHS staff and carers have also been getting vaccinated.
