SWG3 to transform Galvanizers Yard into huge outdoor food and drink venue

Glasgow arts and music venue SWG3 has announced they are to transform their outdoor Galvanizers Yard into a huge outdoor food and drink venue when Scotland moves into phase two of coronavirus lockdown exit route map.

The west end venue has confirmed they are "prepped and ready to do so" - with the plans including for music and and a backdrop of evolving graffiti walls to feature as part of the food and drink venue plans for the 25,000 sq ft area.

The new outdoor venue will be open every Thursday to Sunday from 12pm to 10pm, with customers able to pre-book tables in advance and order table service via a new bespoke SWG3 app.

A full statement from SWG3 on 'SWG3 Phase Two' reads: "Whilst our usually vibrant site has been laying low, we have been busy planning how and when SWG3 can return to serve you.

"The Scottish Government has indicated that outdoor bars and restaurants will be able to trade in Phase 2 and we are prepped and ready to do so.

"At this stage we can confirm that we plan to fully utilise our 25,000 sq ft outdoor Galvanizers Yard. The space will be transformed into an outdoor food and drink venue, with music and a backdrop of evolving graffiti walls.

"Customers will be able to pre-book tables in advance and will order table service via our bespoke SWG3 app.

"The new outdoor venue will be open every Thursday - Sunday from 12 noon - 10pm. More details will be revealed very soon."
