Sweet moment children reunite with Scots soldiers returning home

There were hugs and smiles all round when these soldiers from SCOTS Dragoon Guards returned home to their loved ones in Scotland.

Officers and from A Squadron Royal Scots Dragoon Guards touched down on Scottish soil on Wednesday afternoon.

They arrived at after completing their deployment to Poland for a military exercise.

They were reunited with family and friends as well as the rest of the Regiment in for a big welcome home party.

One little girl carrying a pink teddy cuddled her dad as other excited children smiled and tried on the Dragoon Guards beret for size.

The SCOTS Dragoon Guards is a light cavalry regiment and have been operating as part of the UK’s contribution to NATOs Enhanced Forward Presence in eastern Europe.
