A Sweet 16 birthday party left 37 people infected with coronavirus and hundreds having to quarantine.
The super spreader event was held at Miller Place Inn, Long Island, in New York, on September 25 - with the swanky venue since fined $12,000 for exceeding the state's 50 person limit.
Suffolk County Department of Health Services issued a notice of formal hearing to the Inn to respond to various charges of Covid-19 violations, according to a statement.
"This was an egregious violation and should serve as a stark reminder of the consequences that exist for flouting Covid-19 protocols," said county executive Steve Bellone.
"These rules and regulations exist for a reason - to keep New Yorkers safe - and we all have an obligation to act responsibly."
The venue also received additional fines for allegedly operating a food establishment in "an unsanitary condition".
The health department said it had obtained a guest list containing 81 names, including 49 students and 32 adults - all of whom are now isolating.
Seven positive cases were household contacts while one positive case was a close friend of a person who attended the birthday event.
"At present, 270 contact are under quarantine and 11 cases are under active isolation," the statement continued.
"Several contacts have already completed their quarantine period, as their exposure dates back to more than 14 days."
Miller Place Inn is still advertising its 'Diamond Sweet 16 Package' on its website.
This includes buffet-style food, as well as appetizers and 'unlimited soda' in two event rooms which include a dance floor and full bar.
"Your child’s Sweet Sixteen or Quinceañera is one the most important birthdays she will have in her life," a description states.
The venue was contacted by Fox 5 New York for comment.
