Sweden and Ukraine have their eyes on the Euro 2020 quarter-finals when they meet at Glasgow’s Hampden Park tonight.
Sweden are basking in the glory of a strong, unbeaten Euro 2020 campaign to date that saw them hold Spain and beat both Slovakia and Poland en route to surprisingly topping Group E.
Opponents Ukraine had a more uncertain path through to the last 16, just losing out to the Netherlands in an exciting clash in Amsterdam before squeezing past North Macedonia and being edged out by Austria.
That latter defeat in Bucharest cost Andriy Shevchenko’s side a runners-up spot behind the Dutch in Group C, but they eventually got through as one of the tournament’s four best third-place finishers.
A date against either England or Germany awaits one of these sides in Rome on Saturday night.
