Three people have been rushed to hospital with "serious injuries" following a horror mass shooting in Sweden.
Officers raced to the scene in the Näsby area, in the northern part of Kristianstad, after reports of "loud bangs" outside a shopping centre at around 3:45pm.
They discovered several people with "suspected gunshot wounds" in "various places" on arrival, a statement said.
An update added that three casualties had been taken to hospital for treatment - with it feared more could be found.

A man in his 20s, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 60s have been left with "serious injuries", a police spokesman said.
No arrests have been made, he added - but an attempted murder probe has been opened.
At least two areas have been cordoned off as suspected crime scenes, including the Gamlegadens shopping centre.
A police helicopter was also seen hovering above.

Näsby has been classified by police as a vulnerable area with a number of recent riots and murders in the district.
The area is said to have a high rate of unemployment and low education levels.
Locals have described their constant fear to expressen.se - and said that relatives worry for their safety.
A woman who works locally told the paper that shooting has become a "habit" in the area.
"If there have been shots the night before, it usually comes more during the day or the morning after.
"A lot has happened here before."
Kristianstad is a town of 40,000 in the south of the Sweden.
