BoyleSports has slashed the odds of Sweden winning the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest after a flurry of bets sinking their odds to 13/8 from 9/2.
Sweden has yet to choose the act that will represent them at the Eurovision. They do so via a publicly broadcast song competition called Melodifestivalen, with the fourth heat of the show being broadcast on Saturday.
As it stands Swedish singer Loreen, who previously won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 with her song Euphoria, looks to be the favourite with her new song Tattoo.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: Sweden has now overtaken Ukraine as the favourite to win the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. This could be a seventh title for Sweden, bringing them level with Ireland’s impressive record.”
Ireland has won the Eurovision Song Contest a record seven times in total, the last time was in 1996 with Eimear Quinn’s The Voice. However, the odds of ending this period of not winning are low, with Ireland’s odds coming in at 40/1. The UK is an outsider also at 14/1, with last year’s winners, Ukraine, coming in at 5/2.
Irish band Wild Youth is set to represent Ireland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The group was chosen on the Eurosong special of the Late Late Show where the band competed against six acts, including John Lydon and his band Public Image Ltd.
Speaking about getting to represent Ireland at the 67th Eurovision Song Contest, Wild Youth frontman Conor O'Donohoe said: "We hope everyone gets behind the song and we hope everyone gets behind us.
"We have been around for a while and we wanted to take a risk. Everyone who performed tonight has a great future ahead of them."
