SWAT team search for 'active gunman' after 'Walmart shooting'

Heavily-armed police are searching a Walmart for an 'active gunman' after a shooting outside the supermarket, reports say.

The shooting took place in Kerrville, Texas, US, earlier today, according to The Kerrville Daily Times.

Walmart employees told the newspaper the shooting happened outside the store.

Police have cordoned off the scene and SWAT marksmen are currently clearing the building.

It is not yet clear whether anyone has been injured in the incident.

It comes two days after a shooting at a garden party in Fresno, California.

Gunmen reportedly crept into the backyard and opened fire on a crowd of people watching American football on TV.

Police described the situation in Fresno, California, as a 'mass casualty shooting'.

Four men, aged between 25 and 30, were killed. Three of the victims were found dead in the garden when police arrived.

Officers were called to the scene of the shooting at 6pm local time on Sunday, with gunshot victims rushed to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition, it was reported.
