SWAT team responds to home in West Beverly

The Chicago police SWAT team responded to a home Thursday in the West Beverly neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Police responded around 11 a.m. to the 10100 block of South Washtenaw Avenue, according to preliminary information from police. The standoff was ongoing at 2 p.m.

A police spokesman was unable to provide additional details.
