Swastika among horrific racist graffiti daubed on a skate park in Stockport

Vile racist graffiti has been daubed on the ground at a park in Stockport.

A swastika and a vile racist slur were written on the bottom of a ramp at the skate park in Bredbury Recreation Ground.

A parent, who regularly visits the park with his kids, said: "It's disgusting. I come here with the kids and I’m always having to clean rubbish and broken glass up before they can start to play, but this is next level.

"There were two very hateful symbols left on the ground."

Bredbury councillor Chris Gordon said: "I absolutely and totally condemn this graffiti. It's disgraceful.

"It's disgusting that this kind of thing is still happening in this day and age.

"It's a one-off - I can't remember the last time we had anything like this in this area - but I'm genuinely appalled.

"The council has a very rapid response to clean up any racist graffiti and I'm sure it will be dealt with quickly."

A Stockport council spokesperson said the graffiti was reported to the environmental services team on Monday morning and has since been removed.
