Swansea want bidding war for Man United target; Leeds target Barcelona starlet; Middlesbrough to sack Pulis - latest Championship news and gossip

Swans want James bidding war

Swansea City are hoping to encourage a bidding war for Manchester United target Daniel James.

United are looking at James as a potential option during the summer window and a £15million move has been discussed.

However, the Swans are hoping to drive up his transfer fee with Everton, Newcastle United and Leeds United also in the hunt.

James only has a year left on his contract at the Liberty Stadium and he is expected to be sold but not without a fight.

Leeds target Barca striker

Barcelona B striker Rafa Mujica looks set to join Leeds United this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Marca report that the 20-year-old is expected to head to England after an impressive season in the Segunda B.

The forward, who can play on either wing, has scored seven goals in his 33 games this campaign.

Leeds have a growing scouting network in Spain after signing Kiko Casilla in January and Samu Saiz in July 2017.

Owls chase defender

Sheffield Wednesday are thought to be leading the race to sign Brentford defender Moses Odubajo on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old is leaving the Bees as a free agent this summer despite making 35 appearances this term.

Football Insider suggests that Steve Bruce is closing on a deal for the defender who he previously worked with at Hull City.

Odubajo was part of Bruce's Hull side that won promotion to the Premier League and his arrival could kick-start the rebuilding job at Hillsborough.

Boro to sack Pulis

Middlesbrough are set to sack Tony Pulis after they failed to win promotion to the Premier League.

Boro missed out on the sixth and final play-off spot on the last day of the season after a tough campaign for the Riverside Stadium club.

Pulis' contract is set to expire and TeessideLive report that it won't be renewed.

The former West Brom and Stoke City boss is expected to be told the news later this week by owner Steve Gibson.
