Swansea's Wind Street sealed off as man arrested on suspicion of assault

Swansea's Wind Street has been sealed off by police as a man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

South Wales Police remained at the scene on this morning carrying out investigations after the incident which took place just before 11pm on Sunday, October 27.

Officers were called to reports of an injured man outside Popworld, and say a 47-year-old man has since been taken to hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "We were called to reports of an injured man outside Popworld in Wind Street at about 10.55pm last night.

"A 47-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.

"A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in custody.

"The area remains sealed off while the investigations continue.

"Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting occurrence 1900397913."
