The unfortunate Kingsway and city centre traffic project is facing another delay, and once again it's out of Swansea Council's hands.
Motorists in Swansea will have to wait longer to be able to travel in both directions around the city, as plans for two-way traffic have been postponed.
The delay comes after discussions between Swansea Council, suppliers and contractors in the light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The switch was planned to take place overnight on Saturday, April, 4 to be ready on Sunday, April 5, 2020.
A new date for the work is yet to be confirmed.
It's the second time the project has faced delays, after stalling in March last year when the original contractor - Dawnus, collapsed, leaving the scheme still under construction.
The £12m project has seen new, larger, pavements created in The Kingsway, along with landscaped areas and a new urban park.
Eventually the stretch, along with other parts of the city centre, will be returned to two-way, allowing more direct journeys across the city.
According to the council, a number of important new road signs and other materials cannot be supplied right now due to the pandemic.
The move follows an earlier decision by current main contractor Griffiths to temporarily suspend work on the site for 48 hours because it was unable at the time to comply with government social distancing instructions.

Council leader Rob Stewart said: “We spoke at length with suppliers and contractors and it was clear that the emerging position meant the switch should be rescheduled.
“The Kingsway and its neighbouring roads have been used safely in their present layout and this should remain the case for the remainder of the coronavirus situation. The city centre remains accessible for those who need to be there.
“I thank residents, businesses and other users of The Kingsway area for their understanding. We are in unprecedented times and the council is here for the people of Swansea. I’m confident people will understand that the most important thing is that we do all we can to provide the most critical services needed at this time.
“We’re all committed to completing the transformation of The Kingsway and we’re nearly there. But now is not the right time to do the two-way switch.”
The roads involved in the two-way switch are The Kingsway, Orchard Street, Christina Street, Mansel Street, De La Beche Street, Grove Place, Alexandra Road and Belle Vue Way.
Cradock Street will change its one-way direction. The junction of Pleasant Street and Orchard Street will close.
The council has produced a map showing the new traffic flows so drivers can begin plotting their future journeys through the city centre.
According to the council, this will remain valid for when the switch takes place.
