Swansea launch £5m Kevin Nisbet bid as Hibs face late decision on Scotland star

Swansea have launched a bid to sign Kevin Nisbet with a £5million offer on the table, according to a report.

The Hibs striker has been subject of interest from England since January when Birmingham tried to sign him and now fellow Championship side Swansea are trying to get him.

They are managed by former Rangers and Scotland defender Russell Martin, who took over last month after leaving MK Dons.

And now Nisbet has emerged as a top target for him as he looks to take Swansea up the Championship table and try and get them back to the English Premier League.

English outlet Football League World report that Swansea have submitted the offer and hope to get the deal done before the end of the transfer window on Tuesday night.

It leaves them with just more than 24 hours to do so, with the window set to slam shut at 11pm on Tuesday night in England.

Jack Ross and Hibs are looking to tie Nisbet down on a new deal at Easter Road.

Celtic were linked with a move for him last week but it came to nothing and he remains a Hibs player for now.
