A 22-year-old woman has died after being seriously assaulted in Swansea.
The incident is believed to have taken place in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
Police are currently at the scene of the incident in Mount Pleasant where armed officers have been deployed alongside divisional units.
A number of cordons are also in place while investigations continue, Wales Online reported.
Some residents reported hearing and seeing a helicopter over their homes in the early hours.

A police statement read: "South Wales Police is currently the scene of an incident on Carlton Terrace, Swansea.
"Officers were called at approximately 3.10am today (Tuesday, April 23), following reports of a serious assault in which a 22-year-old woman died.
"Armed officers have been deployed alongside divisional units and the police helicopter, and a number of cordons are in place in the area while investigations continue.
