If you're planning on taking part in the Swansea Half Marathon, or you want to avoid the area entirely, you'll want to know what time it starts, where you can park, and which roads are closed.
We've gathered all the information you need to know for the event in 2019.

When is it?
The Swansea Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, June 23.
Wheelchair athletes begin at 9.50am, with the elite and mass race beginning at 10am, though these times are to be confirmed nearer to race day.
The Route
The JCP Swansea Half Marathon starts in front of the iconic Brangwyn Hall, before heading through the city centre onto Oystermouth Road.

From the closed roads you’ll spot the floodlights of St Helen’s Rugby ground.
You will then enjoy the stunning views of Swansea Bay as you head towards the village of Mumbles and its iconic pier and lighthouse.
You will turn and head back towards Swansea via the flat, purpose-built cycle/walkway alongside miles of sandy beaches.
The return leg of the race heads towards the Meridian Tower.
Wales’ tallest building provides a perfect opportunity for a PB with a flat promenade guiding you towards Swansea Marina where you will run over the lock bridge into the SA1 area before you cross the Millennium Bridge spanning the River Tawe and head back towards the finish near to Museum Green.

How to enter
There will be no entry or registration on the day of the race.
To take part you will have to register in advance, which will cost £38 for affiliated runners and £40 for non affiliated.
There's also a children's race
The SHM Family Fun Dash will take in 2KM of the half marathon route before crossing the official half marathon finish line.
Entry for this event is £10.00 (+ booking fee) per person. A medal and water will be provided for every 2KM finisher.
The SHM Family Fun Dash is suitable for runners of all ages.
Spaces are limited and no registration is available on the day.
Where can I park
Swansea has several car parks within the city centre. All of the Swansea Council car parks are free to use on a Sunday.
Road closures are still being finalised between the council and event organisers and will be announced closer to the day.
