Swansea fans rave over Chelsea star Conor Gallagher after his debut vs Wigan

Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher has impressed on loan in the Championship so far this season.

The 19-year-old spent the first-half of the campaign on loan at Charlton Athletic, scoring six goals and providing four assists in 27 league appearances during his time playing at the Valley.

The decision was made to recall the midfielder from Charlton during the January transfer window, with the teenager instead being sent back out on loan to Championship rivals Swansea City.

Gallagher made his debut for the Swans in the 2-1 victory over Wigan, where he lined up alongside Liverpool and former Chelsea youth striker Rhian Brewster.

The two wasted no time in making an impact at the Liberty Stadium, with Gallagher providing the pass for Brewster to score the 19th minute equaliser after Wigan had taken the lead just three minutes earlier.

The Welsh side went onto turn the game around through Andre Ayew's second-half strike.

Gallagher is highly rated at Stamford Bridge, and it is hoped that the Chelsea youngster will follow in the footsteps of other players who have succeeded out on loan such as Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori, who were both at Derby County last season.

After the match, Swansea fans took to social media to react to Gallagher's performance.

Here is what they said.

Gallagher and Swansea are next back in action when the Swans travel to the BET 365 Stadium to take on Stoke City.
