Swansea City winger and former Rangers man Barrie McKay set for League One move

Fleetwood Town are set to sign Swansea City's Barrie McKay on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Scot has desperately struggled for regular game-time under Steve Cooper, with McKay making just eight appearances for the Swans in all competitions so far this term.

He was replaced in the second half of the miserable 5-1 FA Cup third-round loss to Queens Park Rangers earlier this month and has not been included in a matchday squad since.

And McKay appears destined for a move to League One outfit Fleetwood on transfer deadline day.

McKay joined the Swans from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2018 and scored three times in 31 appearances in his debut campaign in South Wales.

His current deal with the Swans runs until June 2021.
