Welsh footballer Daniel James' father has died suddenly, Swansea City have confirmed.
The South Wales club confirmed the sad news on Thursday morning.
A statement issued from the club said: "Everyone at Swansea City has been saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Daniel James' father.
"Everyone at the football club send their condolences and our thoughts are with Daniel and his family at this sad time."
A statement issued by the FAW, also on Thursday, said: "Our thoughts are with Dan James, his family and friends during this sad time."
James had been named in Wales' training squad for a camp in Portugal ahead of Wales' Euro 2020 qualifiers next month, but WalesOnline understands he did not travel with the squad on Wednesday.
James was born in Yorkshire but qualified for Wales as his father was from Aberdare.
