Swansea City are reportedly keeping tabs on Fleetwood Town star Kyle Dempsey - but could face stiff competition for his signature.
According to Football Insider , the Swans are one of several Championship clubs interested in the 24-year-old, who has put in a number of eye-catching performances since winning his place back in Joey Barton's side.
Dempsey has started the last six games in League One and has arguably played an important part in their climb up to fourth place, following a run of four wins from six games.
And it's believed his performances have caught the eye of a number of Championship sides, with Derby County and former club Huddersfield Town also mentioned as possible suitors.
Fleetwood may well be keen on securing a deal soon, with Dempsey's contract at Highbury up at the end of the season.
However, while it's likely he will be available for a cut price, the value of any potential deal in January isn't yet clear.
Dempsey has played 123 games for Fleetwood since his initial arrival on loan in 2016, and has previously played for Carlisle and Peterborough.
