Swansea City seal US star Paul Arriola and ex-Sheffield United man Kieron Freeman signatures in early hours as Jordon Garrick leaves

Swansea City sealed the signings of Paul Arriola and Kieron Freeman in the early hours of the morning to wrap up a decent January transfer window.

Although manager Steve Cooper wasn't able to add the striker he so desperately wanted, he did manage to bring in six new faces in Ben Hamer, Conor Hourihane, Jordan Morris, Morgan Whittaker, Arriola and Freeman to replace the players he lost during the month.

Twenty-five-year-old Arriola arrives on loan until the end of the season, while Freeman moved from Swindon on a permanent deal.

The 28-year-old defender has signed on until the end of the season, while Jordon Garrick has gone in the opposite direction on loan until the end of the 2020-21 campaign, subject to EFL approval.

It brought to an end a hectic day at Fairwood, with Derby attacker Whittaker also putting pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year deal in SA1.

Freeman will provide cover for Connor Roberts at right-back, while Arriola is seen by Cooper as player who can add something in the final third.

Whittaker, meanwhile, will provide the head coach with an attacking option from the bench.
