Swansea City's forgotten man Borja Baston has thanked fans for their support after the Spaniard scored his first goal for the club in almost three years.
The striker for the second time in two games for Steve Cooper's team and scored within five minutes of his introduction.
The 26-year-old netted the second after combining well with team-mate Oli McBurnie, who put the former Alaves man through on goal before he finished cooly.
Thanking McBurnie, Baston wrote on Instagram: "Happy for the goal and for the victory. We keep working. Great assistance @oli_mcburnie . Thanks for your support"
It completed a bit of a turnaround for Baston, whom it was assumed wouldn't take part in any of Swansea's pre-season schedule.
He first got some game-time under his belt with the under-23s but was then surprisingly named on the bench against Exeter last weekend, getting around 10 minutes of action.
And at the Memorial Ground on Tuesday night he went one step better, scoring a goal in a Swansea shirt for the first time since October 2016 in a 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates.
Baston's goal prompted the biggest cheer of the evening, with supporters showing their affection for him with "you Jack b******" and "Borja Baston, he scores when he wants!" chants.
Swansea face Atalanta on Saturday, and Baston's involvement there could give a big hint over his future at the Liberty. The club have made no secret of the fact that they would like to move the forward on this summer, but with the transfer window closing in 15 days, time is running out.
