Swansea City playmaker Bersant Celina leaves the club

Bersant Celina has completed a permanent move to French side Dijon.

The Kosovo international moves to the Ligue 1 side for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £3m, signing a four-year deal at the club.

The 24-year old has brought an an end a two-season spell in SA1, where he made 79 appearances, netting 10 goals.

A prominent player under previous boss Graham Potter, Celina's enjoyed arguably his best moment in a Swansea shirt against former club Manchester City, netting a memorable strike in a thrilling FA Cup quarter-final tie back in March 2019.

However, he found game time harder to come by under Steve Cooper towards the end of last season, although he nevertheless managed to clock up 37 appearances.

Commenting on Celina's arrival, Dijon sporting director Peguy Luyindula said: “In the Championship, he has been used to a very tough league.

"He will bring a lot of desire and will be ready to give everything. But what he likes above all is to evolve in the heart of the game.

"He is a very technical ball player, rather explosive and good in the opponent's box."
