Swansea City linked with Belgian striker as Nottingham Forest to sign Premier League winger in strange deal

Here are your latest Championship transfer news and rumours for Monday, 5 October.

Swansea linked to Belgian striker

Swansea City have been linked with a late move for Toulouse striker Aaron Leya Iseka, according to FootMercato .

The Swans are said to be following the forward, but face competition from Spanish side Espanyol.

It is claimed that while Espanyol would be keen to tie up the player on a loan deal, Swansea are looking to complete a permanent deal for the player tonight.

However, as things stand, there has been no indication from the club that that is the case.

Swansea are also unlikely to pay the type of fee Toulouse would want.

Terence Kongolo move in doubt

Huddersfield Town defender Terence Kongolo’s proposed move to Premier League club Sheffield United is reportedly hit a snag due to concerns over his fitness.

The Daily Mail claim that medical tests have raised concerns over if the player is able to return to full fitness.

Kongolo has missed most of the year with a broken foot, which required surgery.

That has now put a doubt over a potential move to Bramall Lane.

Derby closing in on striker

Derby County are closing in on a move for West Bromwich Albion striker Charlie Austin, according to the Athletic .

It is reported that a deal to see the striker arrive at Pride Park before the deadline is ‘increasingly possible’.

As the deal involves an EFL and Premier League club, it means that Derby will have slightly longer to complete the deal.

Nottingham Forest set to sign winger

Nottingham Forest are set to sign West Bromwich Albion winger Kamil Grosicki, having seen Olympicos agree a fee for the player.

According to Football Insider, a fee of between £1-1.5 million has been accepted from the Greek side, and the winger will go straight on loan to Nottingham Forest after the deal is completed.
