Swansea City line up Wolves defender Ryan Bennett as possible replacement for Tottenham target Joe Rodon

Swansea City have identified Wolves defender Ryan Bennett as a possible replacement for Tottenham target Joe Rodon.

Spurs are keen to sign Rodon before Friday's 5pm deadline, although, at time time of publication, the two clubs remain well apart in their valuations of the Welshman.

Jose Mourinho's side are keen to pay around £10m for the 22-year-old, although Swansea would want north of £15m for their academy product.

Swansea are poised to bolster their defensive options by signing Man City defender Joel Latibeaudiere on a free transfer.

And they have targeted Wolves man Bennett as an additional option should Rodon depart.

The 30-year-old came close to joining the Swans in 2012, although he ultimately joined Norwich City.

Bennett has previously played for Grimsby Town, Peterborough United, the Canaries, Wolves and Leicester City.

It's expected that a deal would be a permanent one.
