Swansea City line up transfer swoop for MK Dons goalkeeper Andy Fisher

Swansea City are lining up a transfer swoop for MK Dons goalkeeper Andy Fisher.

Current Swans boss Russell Martin signed the shot stopper from Blackburn Rovers during his time in Milton Keynes.

Fisher made 39 appearances for MK Dons last term after moving to Stadium MK from Ewood Park on a permanent deal in October 2020 following a loan stint under Martin.

And WalesOnline understands Swansea are keen to raid Martin's former club by bringing the young goalkeeper to south Wales on a permanent deal in January.

Fisher has made 14 League One appearances for MK Dons so far this term while he was a key figure during Martin's time in Buckinghamshire.

Ben Hamer's current contract expires next summer, although the Swans have the option to extend the 33-year-old's deal.

Steven Benda - who has made seven appearances in all competitions for the club so far this season - is contracted to the Swans until the summer of 2024.

Fisher made four senior appearances for Blackburn and had spells with FC United of Manchester and Northampton Town prior to his switch to MK Dons.

In addition to goalkeeper Fisher, the Swans are also keen to sign attacking midfielder James McAtee on loan from Man City.
