Swansea City legend's touching Christmas Day gesture

Christmas Day has been and gone for another year.

And it's back to the grind of the Championship for Swansea City on Boxing Day as they face Brentford.

Fans in the away end at Griffin Park will no doubt be decked out in new clobber received over the festive period while they can also look forward to a free drink courtesy of the club and chairman Trevor Birch on Sunday when Swansea end 2019 against Barnsley at the Liberty Stadium.

But while most were tucking in to their Christmas dinners and unwrapping presents, Swansea legend Lee Trundle was spreading the cheer in a different way.

The club ambassador paid a visit to Morriston Hospital to meet staff as well as patients on the wards.

Writing on his official Twitter account, Trundle said: "Lovely visit to Morriston hospital this morning this morning with huwcooze, hope you all have a lovely day x."

It was yet more proof - as if any was needed - that Trundle will go above and beyond in his current role, just as he did during his days on the pitch in the famous white jersey.

Updates of Swansea's clash with Brentford will be available here from midday on Boxing Day.
