Swansea City 'join' Rangers, West Brom and QPR in hunt for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher as Charlton deal set to be terminated

Swansea City have been linked with a swoop for Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher.

The 19-year-old is currently on loan with Charlton Athletic and has impressed under Lee Bowyer, scoring six goals in his 26 appearances this season.

Our sister title Football London report that Chelsea are set to recall Gallagher from his loan stint at The Valley.

Although it seems Chelsea are keen for Gallagher to depart Stamford Bridge once again, with the Blues set to send the midfielder back out on loan.

Swansea, Queens Park Rangers, West Brom, Rangers and Millwall are all reportedly interested in Gallagher.

However, having signed Marc Guehi from Chelsea last week, Swansea now have five loan players in their ranks.

Guehi followed Rhian Brewster in joining Swansea on a temporary basis this month, with Freddie Woodman, Ben Wilmot and Aldo Kalulu already at the club.

EFL rules state that clubs can only include five loan players in any given matchday squad.

And while they do not have a limit of the number of loan players a club could sign, a further loan addition would take Swansea's tally of loan players to six.

However, Swansea are interested in the player and could make a swoop ahead of the Championship clash with Wigan.
