Swansea City could welcome back both Viktor Gyokeres and Jordan Garrick to the squad for the Championship clash vs Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Forest host the Swans in the early kick-off at the City Ground as they look to bounce back from a disappointing week.
The Reds fell to back-to-back 2-0 away defeats against Barnsley and Bournemouth on Saturday and Tuesday, results that leave them in 20th position in the Championship table.
Chris Hughton’s men are in the midst of a difficult run of fixtures with games against Watford, Reading, Norwich City and Brentford all coming after the Swansea match. All of the teams are in and around the top part of the table.
Swansea have also been given a boost ahead of the match with both Gyokeres and Garrick returning to training after a period of self-isolation due to positive Covid-19 tests.
Head coach Steve Cooper confirmed their availability in the pre-match press conference.
“Viktor and Jordon have been back in today. They trained normally with the group. That’s a positive,” he said, via the club’s official website.
“They’re available (for the weekend). We just have to be a bit careful. They missed 10 days of training and you don’t want to put too much on them.
“We’ll build them back up as we go along. Hopefully, they’ll feature sooner rather than later.
The Swans will also be managing the fitness of striker Ande Ayew and defender Marc Guehi, who have both recently recovered from hamstring injuries.
“Marc and Andre are ongoing issues that we are having to manage. I know Andre contributed the other night, but it’s still something we have to be careful of going into the weekend and beyond that," Cooper added.
“We’re in decent shape really in terms of player availability.”
