Swansea City fans send Nottingham Forest Steve Cooper message

Swansea City fans have been letting their Nottingham Forest counterparts know what to expect from Steve Cooper as the Reds edge closer to appointing him as their new manager.

Cooper took Swansea to the Championship play-offs at the end of both of his seasons in the dugout, but failed to secure promotion back to the Premier League.

Despite his unarguable achievement with the Swans, their supporters are far from overwhelmingly positive about his anticipated arrival at the City Ground, with a number warning Reds fans about his style of football.

Here is the best of the reaction to Cooper's expected arrival in the East Midlands from fans of his former employer...

S (@SimonLew87): Good Luck Cooper

Robert Watts (@robertw73): Will shore up your defence, but going forward be prepared for plenty of games with no shots on target

Kieran Craig (@KieranCraig2016): Got us winning games more often than not.

However his style was more about protecting a 1-0 lead or holding out for any result.

Definitely will organise you but I’d be surprised if he gets you playing exciting attacking football.

If results is all you want then you’ll like him

Ryan (@Ry_L96): Winning football but not pleasant on the eye. Good manager

Craig Davies (@OfficialRTC): 11 men behind the ball and 3 shots on target each game (if you're lucky)

I'm being completely honest. You're in for some rough afternoons, maybe not initially.

I wonder if he can get forest playing the "right" way. Im very interested to see how he does..

Johnnie (@johnnieunderhi4): I’m pretty sure he will sort forest out and drag you to at least mid table this season depending on how good your squad is.

The football is god awful but he gets results.
