Swansea City fans make squad point as Steve Cooper plans summer activity

Swansea City fans have made their mind up about the make-up of Steve Cooper's Swans squad ahead of their 21/22 Championship campaign.

Swansea will be looking to go one step further this season after falling short at the final hurdle against Brentford in last season's play-off final at Wembley.

In our recent keep/sell survey, supporters made it crystal-clear that there is no room for negotiation when it comes to the futures of Ben Cabango and Connor Roberts who attracted the highest percentage of 'keep' votes with 97% and 94% respectively.

Other high performers in the survey that should be kept close to supporters at the Liberty Stadium were Kyle Naughton (90% keep), Ryan Bennett (91% keep), Jay Fulton (90% keep), Jamal Lowe (91% keep), Ryan Manning (86% keep), Steven Benda (85% keep) Jake Bidwell (85% keep) and Joel Latibeaudiere (85% keep).

Swans fans also want to keep hold of Liam Cullen, Morgan Whittaker, Kyle Joseph, Brandon Cooper, Ben Hamer, Matt Grimes, Jordon Garrick, Korey Smith, Ollie Cooper. The same applies to club legend Wayne Routledge who has been offered a one-year contract extension.

For the overwhelming 'sells', supporters said it's time for Yan Dhanda - who has been linked with a move to Anderlecht - to move on, while George Byers split the keep/sell vote 45% to 48% sell.

As for the loans, Swans fans want to see Lewis Webb, Cameron Evans, Daniel Williams and Tivonge Rushesha - who is currently recovering from an ACL injury - gain first team minutes elsewhere.

Cooper still has plenty of decisions to make before the start of the new season, but fans have certainly had their say, and their thoughts are clear; a season of continuity with little need for total renovation.
