Swansea City digest: Arsenal, Burnley and Bournemouth strikers all linked as new man signs

The latest transfer news from the Liberty Stadium...

Swans linked with strikers galore

Head coach Steve Cooper revealed after the 2-1 win over Hull City on Saturday that supporters could expect news about signings over the next 48 hours.

And he has been as good as his word, as a number of players - mainly strikers - have been linked with a move to Swansea City.

As the clock ticks down to Thursday's 5pm deadline, Swansea have confirmed their interest in Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah.

There is likely to be serious competition for him, with Bristol City said to be for his signature.

Cardiff City were, early this morning, credited with interest but that has since been played down.

One signing Swansea have got over the line today is Aldo Kalulu, on a season-long loan deal from Basle.

“I am excited to get started. I had already seen some of Swansea’s games from last season as I have a friend who plays in the Championship with Reading (Meite),” he said.

“I went to Reading and saw him play against Swansea, so I really liked the idea and the style of the team and this was why I chose the club.

“I also spoke a little bit with my friend Bafetimbi Gomis, who played for Swansea.

“I knew him when we were at Lyon and he told me a lot of good things about Swansea.”

Elsewhere, the Guardian are reporting that Swansea are closing in on a loan move for Bournemouth's Sam Surridge.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan with Oldham, scoring 12 goals in 22 appearances.

And Sky Sports are stating that Swansea have made an inquiry over Burnley's Nahki Wells.

Wells spent last season with QPR on loan.
