Steve Cooper has revealed he is expecting several young players to leave Swansea City on loan this week.
The Swans are unable to bring in players but can offload members of their squad to sides in League One or League Two while they are also able to send to countries where the market remains open, such as Scotland, Spain, France and Germany.
And ahead of his side's Championship clash with Birmingham City at the Liberty Stadium, Cooper has revealed the Swans are close to finalising the loan exits of some of the younger members of his squad.
"A couple of younger players will hopefully get some loans in the next couple of days," said the Swansea head coach.
"I think that will be an important part of their development, nothing that will particularly unrest the first-team squad in terms of numbers.
"We’re a club that wants to provide the right pathway for young players and loans can be a big part of that.
"We're close to finalising one or two deals, maybe a few more, and I think that will be positive when the young players come back.
"They can be in a better place in terms of pushing for a place in the first team squad."
Given that the window remains opening in numerous countries on the continent, there's still the possibility that or Andre Ayew could depart SA1 in the coming days.
However, Cooper has revealed the pair remain firmly in his plans, adding that the two attackers are enjoying life at Swansea having played a key role in the club's impressive start to the 2019/20 campaign.
"There is no update in terms of potential movement," added Cooper.
"I have said previously, we will continue to work with them boys, as with everyone else, day in day out in terms of planning and preparing for games and developing the way we want to play.
"They have had a big impact, they’re good players, they’re happy, motivated and are working hard. Long may it continue."
And when asked if clubs may be keen to swoop as a result of the pair's impact this month, Cooper responded: "You can look at it both ways. With them players looking happy and motivated, you could say that would mean they’d want to carry that on with Swansea so you can look at it however you want.
"All I know is if they are playing well and scoring and assisting goals, the football club is benefiting and that's got to be a good situation."
The Swans host Birmingham City at the Liberty Stadium at midday on Sunday before taking on Cambridge United and Leeds United ahead of the international break.
