Swansea City clinch loan signing of former Chelsea starlet Kasey Palmer from Bristol City

Swansea City have completed the loan signing of Kasey Palmer from Bristol City.

Steve Cooper has been an admirer of the young Englishman for some time and attempted to sign the 23-year-old last summer.

And the head coach landed his man on transfer deadline day, with Palmer joining the Swans on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign.

It's understood there is no option to buy clause inserted in the deal with Championship rivals Bristol City.

Bristol City have the option to recall Palmer in January.

Palmer started his career at Charlton Athletic before transferring to Chelsea's academy.

During his time with the Blues, Palmer had loan spells with Huddersfield Town, Derby County, Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City before signing a permanent deal with the Robins in 2019.

Palmer featured 27 times for Bristol City in all competitions last term, scoring one goal.

He netted twice in the Robins' 4-0 Carabao Cup triumph over Northampton Town last month, with his only other appearance for the club this season coming against Aston Villa in the same competition.
