Swansea City boss Steve Cooper knows what to expect from Nottingham Forest

Swansea City boss Steve Cooper says he has been telling his players what to expect from Nottingham Forest.

The two sides meet at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday in their first match after the international break.

The Reds are currently in 10th place in the Sky Bet Championship with nine points, while Swansea are riding high at the top of the table with 16 points.

Sabri Lamouchi’s men are unbeaten in all competitions since their opening-day defeat to West Bromwich Albion, with their last outing in the Championship ending in a 1-1 draw with Swansea City.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Cooper says he’s made his players aware of what Forest are about, and expects a good game between the two sides.

“They’re an experienced team with lots of well known players,” said Cooper.

He added: “They know their way around the league. I’ve made the players aware of that.

“They’ve only lost one game which was the first game of the season. They’ve been in every game fighting for a result.

“If we get it right it’s got the makings of a good game.”

Cooper continued: “They scored fairly early at Fulham, I wouldn’t say they’ll be sitting off and just defensively minded.

“Yes they are good defensively but I see a good football match coming up.

“We’ve just got to focus on what we bring to it.

“They’re in good form and it’s got the makings of a good match.”
