Suzuki unveils new Hayabusa hyperbike

THE Hayabusa is back. Suzuki has revealed its new hyperbike that returns this year after a three-year lay-off.

The third generation of the famous bike comes with more low-down power than ever before from its 1.3-litre engine. Work on the engine has focused on delivering even greater acceleration off the line.

Along with new electronic Launch Control and traction aids, Suzuki says the 190hp Hayabusa will comfortably outperform its predecessors while being easier to ride in traffic.

Top speed is electronically limited to 186mph, the same as previous Hayabusa models, but Suzuki has added a new race-derived gearbox for quicker shifts.

There’s also a new traction control system so the rider can safely use the power depending on road conditions.

Suzuki has retained the unmistakable silhouette of the Hayabusa but this new model comes with the latest technology. This includes LED headlights, lightweight exhaust and improved aerodynamics.

There’s also a race-style colour screen that shows the rider vital information and plenty more, such as lean angle, rate of acceleration, and brake pressure.

New suspension means the Hayabusa is as stable at its top speed as it is comfortable when covering long distances. The new Suzuki Hayabusa will be in showrooms next month and costs from £16,499.
