Takayuki Suzuki earned his fifth medal of the Games, taking silver in the men's 50-meter freestyle S4 at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre on Thursday.
Suzuki finished the race in the category for the physically impaired in 37.70 seconds.
Israel's Ami Omer Dadaon won the gold and Italy's Luigi Beggiato earned the bronze.
Earlier in the day, Suzuki finished first in the 50 preliminary in 38.25 seconds.
The Hamamatsu native was born without a right leg and a left leg that ends at the thigh. He has only three fingers on his left hand while his right arm ends at the elbow.
The 34-year-old freestyle swimmer also won the gold in the 100 while taking silver in the 200. He picked up bronze medals in the 50 breaststroke and the 150 individual medley.
Over his Paralympic career, Suzuki has earned 10 medals overall.
Suzuki made his debut as a Paralympian in the 2004 Athens Games when he was a high school student and has not missed a Paralympics since.
