Suzi Taylor: Australian reality TV star and accomplice 'held Tinder date against his will and extorted him', police allege

An Australian TV star allegedly held a Tinder date against his will and extorted him for money, according to police.

Suzi Taylor, 49, is said to have met a 33-year-old man through the dating app before they went to a home in New Farm, Queensland.

She is said to have demanded money from the man.

When he did not comply, another man allegedly entered the room and held him against his will.

Queensland Police allege Taylor then assaulted the victim and the pair forced him to make a bank transfer.

Authorities said the pair then stole his bank card and withdrew a sum of money.

Details of either amount have not been specified.

Taylor and a 22-year-old man have been charged with extortion, deprivation of liberty, assault and possessing dangerous drugs.

They appeared at Brisbane Magistrates' Court on Friday and Taylor has been detained until a further appearance on November 25, according to reports.

Taylor appeared on home renovation programme The Block, where couples compete to fix up homes then sell them at the highest price.
