Suzanne Jackson says she's not worried by 'negative feedback' on her new RTE show Style Counsellors

Suzanne Jackson has revealed she's not worried about "negative feedback" following the launch of her new RTE show Style Counsellors.

The show sees the glamorous Dublin influencer team up with 79-year-old style icon Eileen Smith AKA Style Queen Eileen for a new makeover show.

The duo meet people who are looking to revamp their style and last night teamed up with the first participant Susan, a nurse who has been on a weight-loss journey.

The show aired on RTE on Tuesday night for the first time to a mixed response as the Style Counsellors met Susan.

Some loved it, however, others were more critical.

One person tweeted: "Just watched #StyleCounsellors. All I can say is bring back Paisean Faisean #TG4."

But another wrote: "Can't wait for StyleCounsellors next Tuesday."

Taking to Instagram Stories, Suzanne shared her own thoughts on the "mental" filming process, saying: "It was probably recorded in record time. We did a full six series show for RTE in three weeks."

"It was mental, the time frames were back to back. It was enjoyable.

"There were some days where I wanted to tear my hair out of my head but the end results with the contestants was phenomenal.

"Meeting the six women was probably my favourite part of the whole thing.

"Whatever about the clothes and the styling just meeting with them, hearing their stories, helping them giving them that little bit of guidance and encouragement that they need and then seeing their smile at the end was just mind-blowing."

"You will see it in the show how powerful it is to have that impact on somebody and their confidence."

Suzanne added that she also loved getting to know Eileen and that they "got on amazing".

Speaking about the feedback she's received from viewers and followers, she added: "The feedback has been phenomenal so thank you.

"Of course, there has been a bit of negative feedback as well, that's natural, I take that on board.

"TV is what it is and not everyone is going to love what you do and that's fine.

"But I'm happy and Eileen is happy and the contestants are happy and RTE are happy and that's at the end of the day really matters.

"And of course, the majority of the audience saw the look in Susan's eye tonight."
