If the dollars are not adding up, don’t worry: Later this year, many SUVs are set to take significant dips in their sticker price. GOBankingRates did a round of up of four SUVs that will have massive price drops in late 2025.
Jaguar F-Pace
Ruth Calkins, general manager and auto expert at Findbyplate, described how the Jaguar F-Pace will likely have big price drops in the last quarter of 2025 due to reasons like dealerships offering discounts to clear inventory to ensure enough room for new models as the model year comes to a close.
“The intense competition in the luxury SUV market also increases the chances of this SUV experiencing a big price drop,” noted Calkins. “Plus, with Jaguar’s intentions to transition to an all-electric lineup, to gather the support of consumers, the brand would likely offer discounts on their gasoline-powered models, which would result in massive price drops for the F-Pace around the last quarter of 2025.”

Mercedes-Benz GLA
According to Dale Gillespie, an auto expert and the COO of DirectKia, the Mercedes-Benz GLA is losing market appeal because buyer interest is shifting toward electric vehicles.
“Prices are being slashed by up to 10% of retail price and leading to tens of thousands in rebates. With a better model set to be released next year, dealers are incentivized to lose the older stock,” Gillespie explained.
Gillespie highlighted how the base Premium trim, which carries a market value of about $60,500 could see up to $5,000 removed from its price in the last part of 2025.
Range Rover Sports
In Calkins professional estimations, the Range Rover Sports is another SUV that will likely see a big price drop during the next quarter.
“Increased market competition and plan to clear inventory are likely not going to be the only reasons for this big price drop, other factors that will influence this price drop in the last quarter of 2025 will include, potential upcoming facilities and updates in the latest model, and global economic factors like economic fluctuation,” explained Calkins.
BMW iX
Gillespie described how the BMW iX electric SUV, initially priced at around $80,000 earlier this year, has seen notable depreciation due to the stiff competition among electric vehicles.
“In fact, there has been as much as a $51,000 loss of value over a five-year period,” commented Gillespie. “With no other choice, dealers are responding with aggressive incentives, making it an opportune time to score some solid discounts.”
