People Tree continue to lead the way with Fairtrade fashion, next season bringing a collaboration with Bora Aksu. If their simple shirt and green tunic dresses aren't a sell out next autumn I'll eat my organic cotton hat

She only uses fairly-traded gold and stones from ethically responsible mines - and insists that her suppliers do the same

She even recently signed up Goldgenie - a company who specialise in gold-plating accessories for maximum bling - to support ethical gold mining. Photograph: David Levene/guardian.co.uk
