Package found at Adelaide Airport 'non-hazardous'

Police clear the cordoned off area as workers return to their vehicles at Adelaide Airport.

A package being investigated by police at Adelaide Airport has been deemed "non-hazardous".

Earlier this afternoon emergency services responded to reports of a suspicious package found at a goods point at the airport.

The package was also assessed by the SA Police Bomb Response Unit.

A small area of the terminal was closed to the public.

"The cordon has been lifted and there is no further disruption to the travelling public," an AFP spokeswoman said.

"The AFP thanks the public for their patience during this incident."

She said police enquiries into the matter were now finalised.
