ROADS around the Westminster Parliament have been locked down amid reports of a "suspicious package" being found in the area.
Armed officers were seen on the scene as investigations took place.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "On Thursday, 27 February police were called to Victoria Tower Gardens, SW1 at 11.37hrs following reports of suspicious package.
"Officers are currently on scene and are carrying out enquiries. Road closures are in place."
