Police are searching for a missing Melbourne man after a Chinese woman was found dead in a city apartment.
Friends discovered the 31-year-old woman's body at the La Trobe Street address about 8.40pm on Tuesday.
Police are still investigating but believe the Chinese national's death is suspicious.
Detectives are looking to speak to Xiaozheng Lin, a 22-year-old Huntingdale man who knew the woman.
Lin, who is described as being about 170cm tall with black hair and brown eyes, is known to frequent Oakleigh and Box Hill in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
Anyone who sees Lin is being told to not approach him and instead call triple zero immediately.
Investigators are also appealing for Lin to come forward and contact his nearest police station.
